. So the bottom shelf that the bowl is "locked up" in is obviously plastic. I bought an all plastic faucet from this company and then replaced it with an all metal faucet. I think making the bottom plastic was a bad/cheap decision. I am optimistic that they will honor the 5 year warranty but I can already predict product failure due to the plastic base. You could easily get a metal base for about $1 more and save on a weak spot in the car. Cooklee, please let us know if you will be replacing this plastic bowl base for a full 5 years.
