For the price you pay these products are not bad. These cheap speaker stands hold my Polk Audio m1 series at their maximum height and weigh 8 pounds each. They are very fragile with so much weight at maximum height, even with the included heavy weights attached to the bottom. So it would be a good idea to keep the kids away. I use them to keep the rear channels in my surround sound system and have had no problems. They weren't that easy to build, the instructions weren't very helpful, but I was able to figure it out. So if you're looking for cheap speaker stands that don't get touched often, these are perfect for you.
