The fit is great, take your first guess. Slightly thinner than the UA thermal jacket.
I'm tall in most shirts (16.5 inch neckline and 34/35 slim shirts in collared shirts). I bought the medium one because I like that the base layers are denser so they don't move around a lot. The fit was perfect, long enough to tuck pants in and not ride up. be a good thermal base layer.
