We have a small pond in our backyard that was created by the previous owners. We had to cross about 10 feet of lawn and plug it in or use the tiny, barely visible on/off switch on the timer. We didn't intend to use the timer, but it's set up so it's not that easy to remove. Now we can use this from the house if we want to sit outside. GREAT! In winter we will use the socket for Christmas lights and we are happy that they can be switched on easily. Wanted to add that we have a remote hanging on the key rack by our back door. From there, the well turns up slightly - probably 50-60 meters.
