Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ AMIR Indoor Outdoor Thermometer with Audible Alarm - Sensor Temperature Monitor for Refrigerator, Freezer, Kitchen, Home (Battery not Included) by Crystal Murphy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Generally good for thermometers and timers

I use it as intended to monitor the fridge and freezer at the same time. As mentioned, batteries are not included so I put the regular ones in the monitor that sits on the side of the fridge. I put lithium batteries in appliances that are in the fridge and freezer because I know those batteries won't work even when they're cold. I like a large display that shows the current, minimum and maximum temperature for both remote sensors. all at the same time. No scrolling or other things to deal with - everything is right on the screen. I do NOT use the alarm feature but I can see how useful it would be. But one thing I've already noticed is that my freezer goes up about 15 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit during the defrost cycle while still staying below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, but that's a lot more than I thought it would. I wonder how the sensors work. although, because when I open the fridge door for a while, the temperature doesn't always change immediately. I think it has to do with how the probe is measuring the temperature of the remote sensor, not the air around it. I think for fridge monitoring this is what you need, but it doesn't notice changes in air temp like I thought it would. But it seems to react the same as food in the fridge and you can tell if the fridge is working or not, the numbers go up and down quickly. It's hard to explain, but I just noticed it. I also like that it takes ONE button press to clear the min and max numbers and it beeps. Easy to use. For the price I'm satisfied. Hope this lasts, I've read of other digital thermometers that don't last long while this one works fine for around 2-3 weeks.
