I have purchased many HDMI over CAT wiring before. This is the first one purchased specifically for 4K HDR. I installed it at my house, as I always do, to make sure it works before installing it at anyone else's house. It works perfectly straight out of the box! It also has the benefit of requiring only 1 power supply for both units. Most installations I have done have a CAT wire coming out of the wall behind the TV. Having to plug in a power supply behind the TV is usually difficult. Often, a recessed electrical box is installed so the TV can be really close to the wall. There is no way to plug a power unit for the HDMI receiver without using an extension cord. Then there is no space to the power supply and extension cord behind the TV, which makes a mess to try and make it look good. I recommend it to anyone who requires an extender for 4K.
