I like this type of gate because it can be raised.
I like this type of gate because it can be lifted and opened in both directions. I recently had shoulder surgery so this gate was perfect for opening with one hand and sometimes even my foot. :) Too bad I didn't get "high", but personal preferences. I actually bought 2 different Babies r Us gates and ended up sending them back because they only opened one way. Until that moment I didn't realize how important it is to be able to open the gate in both directions. Again, this can be a personal preference.
