Very easy tool and hardware repair

ESCL failed on my husband's 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S about a month ago. We did extensive research and after getting estimates from multiple dealers ranging from $950 to $1100, we decided to try the hammer trick. This kept us going for almost a month until he dumped him again, this time when he was picking up our kids from school. We read the reviews on this part and decided to give it a try. It was difficult to get the screws at a good angle, so I removed the bracket that is just above the part (just loosen the four screws). After doing that I was able to tighten the screws with needle nose pliers. After that it was pretty much plug and play. Contrary to what the dealers were trying to tell us, no programming was required. (Note: this wasn't on a hybrid; I've read that hybrids need to be programmed). We couldn't be happier with our purchase. It was a very simple repair that saved us a lot of money.
