I am a man, 6'3", 170 lbs., size 13 shoes. I had work socks that were way too tight in the ankle and lower calves that left a red mark daily. After some investigating, I decided to try these. These are 100 times better; they're supportive in the ankle and calf but not tight at all. They're slightly less supportive in the foot, but still thick enough to be comfortable. They were a little tight in the feet after the first wash and dry and wear, however, they've loosened up in the feet and are fine now, several washes later. I work a typical white collar job where I primarily sit at a desk with some walking around, so I cannot speak to how well these would hold up at a labor intensive job. Overall these were a good buy, and I'd buy again. It would be cool if they came in some masculine, professional-appropriate patterns.
