I liked the color and style in the pictures. It still looks nice if you are very careful never to step on the mats. The moment you do this you will see white spots everywhere. At first I thought one of my kids dumped his shoe full of sand on him, but unfortunately I found there was no sand. The carpets are so thin that the white backing has small stains all over it. I opened the box and just laid them out in our master bedroom last night to let them develop fully before putting them in the kitchen. Today a very small amount of dry, fine sand has spilled over a quarter-sized spot and soiled it. Tried vacuuming it and then used water and very mild soap but the stain is still there. I'm not picky and don't expect a huge amount of quality from a $30 rug set. However, if you can buy a better quality rug from a dollar store, $30 is way overpriced for what you are getting.
