Sometimes it works, sometimes it's doubtful

I bought it to check the temperature of the pool as well as the temperature of the rivers where I fish. It seems to work most of the time, but it takes a while to get to the right temperature. He sometimes has problems out of the water, for example when left in the car, reading 50 degrees when the day was 75 degrees and sitting in a hot car. Besides, it works fine.
