You need zippers

The adhesive sticks well when applied to a clean surface. The problem is that heat causes a loss of grip. The manufacturer even says that the glue is not permanent and zippers must be used. After 45 minutes of driving, the edges of the tape started to peel off. I zipped in wherever I could, but the odd shape of my air intake made it difficult to place the zips where they need to be for a permanent solution, so time will tell how much they will peel off. For $10 and some supplies, I'd be happy if this lasted a year.
