I'm not the kind of person who needs a scanner in my daily life. My main reason for buying was because I use USAA banking. USAA is an internet only bank and the only way to deposit checks is to scan the check through a browser page on their website. The problem was that I could never find a list of supported mobile scanners and my first attempt failed. bitter for me. So I bought it without hesitation. For all USAA users, this works! It took a bit of fiddling to get it working, but it worked great and my checks are now being sent. What I didn't expect was my true enjoyment of the software. I soon found myself copying my important documents (tax returns, etc.) to a storage device. Then I received credit card statements from two years ago. A little later I save my receipts. It's so fun and easy to store my documents electronically and free up physical space (who needs a filing cabinet anymore!). My only big problem is that loading the database gets pretty unwieldy. As someone who programs databases, I'm not sure if it's just a hardware difference or if the programming wasn't indexed or optimized. I've heard that 4.0 is faster, but I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading when after the initial hassle at launch it does everything I want it to do. In any case, you will be more than satisfied with this device.
