I work in the software industry and have done a lot of network and hardware installation and troubleshooting over the years. This router left me stumped. From the start, the instructions were confusing (too many options with no clear intent). As soon as it connected to my Webpass port (Google Fiber) it got an internet signal but kept dropping out. 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity was also spotty at best. I have never been able to connect my phone to either band even after restarting the phone. I factory reset the router and tried setting my own SSIDs with the same results. Luckily I received and tested it with enough time to get a new TP-Link router from Revain the next day. It worked like a charm. I'm not sure if I got a lemon or if it's a software issue with this router and my configuration. However, life is too short to bang your head on a router that can be quickly and easily replaced with a working version from another manufacturer. I gave it two stars because it offers great features at a great price. If you get what you get, it will work with your configuration.
