Review on Lite-Flite Baseball and Softball Machine by JUGS by Ian Bates

A good article for those who don't want to break windows.

I love this product. We use the second year and have no problems with it. However, for a strong and accurate throw, it is necessary to use slightly flying balls. That's the only downside to this item, but it's a lot cheaper than machines that throw real baseballs and softballs - half the price, in fact. You can buy a battery to use at the park or plug in an extension cord if there is enough power nearby. We didn't try the battery, we just use an extension cord. It's a nice item too - a bit heavy (as it's mostly solid metal) to be able to move around but that's ok, it should be and can really help a fast hitter, it's faster and more accurate than anyone softball I could throw myself. You can change the field speed settings and also change the angle at which the ball is released from the machine to simulate turns.) Also, the feedback is direct. The balls have enough mass and weight for the batsman to know if he hit the ball accurately and hard. You just won't break windows with these lightweight flying balls. We use ours in combination with a 30ft shock net and this setup is perfect.
