I bought this flashlight for night time lobster diving. I've driven through a few British D8 lights in the past. My friend had this machine and he really liked it. So I bought one too. It's small, but 1000 lumens seems pretty bright. The quality seems to be good. BUT it has a wide beam. The water was a bit cloudy on my first dive. The regular spots cut through easily, my wide beam just reflected the darkness and I had to go back to the UK backup. As such (with a wide angle lens) it's perfect for video, but for spearfishing lobsters at night you need a SPOT (not a wide beam). I had to buy another $64 spot lens and yes I think they are all interchangeable. It lowers the brightness to around 800 lumens, but is now good for lobster diving. So all the money adds up, it's comparable in price range to the UK D8 (and might have a slightly shorter run time, we'll see), but all in one. - It all seems to be of better quality than my UK lights, I will try to update soon
