Easy to use (as long as your kid keeps up)! It was great quality, everything you need and next to nothing, detailed instructions and gives you enough room for a newborn or a bit more (I weigh almost 14-15 pounds) and still looks cute. It takes a while to fully install, but whatever it is, it shows you the quality and is definitely worthy of "memorabilia". The box it came in was actually very pretty, perfect for a gift, actually this or something like that would be the first thing I would think of the next time a friend is expecting. But, to paraphrase a mad environmentalist, if it's not a gift, maybe a simpler packaging option. It's not a deal breaker at all, especially since it can even be used to store finished products later.
