I bought this stretcher because it has a 5 star safety rating and it can be connected to the car seat belts and headrest for safety. It is very safe with the seat belts on this carrier. it literally cannot move from side to side or front to back. It's nice to know that our dog is anchored securely in it. Our pup loves that there are two ways to get out of his "car seat". He can come straight into our arms from the front (facing the door) or from above where he can look around to explore his new surroundings before falling into our arms. He has a soft, washable liner that he can rely on and seems to love. It is very roomy and can roll up or lie down and stretch out. We really like this carrier.
