I have a spare tire knife/filler and the quality was poor. I had to make Frankenstein out of him. The gauge was perfect garbage at 250psi, making the markings difficult to interpret for a 35psi tire. The cartridge was junk too. So I replaced both, it now has a good chuck and a 60psi gauge marked 1psi. But,,, I needed a new one for my garage. So I got these. The quality of the hoses and fittings is excellent. A straight chuck is fine too, but it can't be used with lawnmower tires and can pop out of the short valves on converter car tires. It's holding up so well I'm only deducting 1/2 a star. The digital display is priceless. No more reading glasses or flashlight! The painted body looks like zinc, aka "pot metal," which is fine as long as it's thick enough that you don't use it for a hammer. He's barely fat enough. My inflator was 100% assembled with no teflon tape or leaks. Love it! Highly recommended.
