Installed this filter on my Mazda 3 2.3l. 2007 I inspected this filter before fitting it and everything looked fine. However, when I changed the oil after 5,000 miles, both end caps fell off immediately when I removed the filter from the housing. Looks like the glue holding the end caps has failed. I also found some small pieces of plastic on the end cap and filter element connections. It's unacceptable! My car never overheated during this period and there were no deviations. I always install Motorcraft parts on my F-350 and have never had a problem. This is the first time I've ever seen a filter element that does this. And the fact that this is Motorcraft is very disappointing. I ordered 3 of these and now the other 2 are not in my car. I hope the seller refunds me for such a terrible product.
