I placed the pump in a 5 gallon clear pail with a removable cap lid for access to wiring and hoses and I can see the tank level. I hooked the system up to a surge protector that I turn off when I leave so I don't have to worry about overflow at work. And hopefully extend the life of the pump. It's a little difficult to get the sensors as high as I want on my 55 gallon, so I rotated the float 45 degrees for higher water levels. The filling tube is attached horizontally to the aquarium lid, not perpendicular to the glass/rim of the aquarium. With those things in mind, this has been a great system for me!
