At 160 watts I thought it would be a lot warmer, hot to about 4-6 inches, then warming up to 12-18 inches, then abruptly cooling down. I use a cheap lightbulb, but it's rated at 200 watts, so yeah, not very warm. Just kind of warm. Cheap 120 volt, 50 watt spot lights that came with a 200 watt clamp bulb emitted about the same amount of heat from a slightly smaller area. The light has a slight green tint, fwiw. Also, the lamp lens is cloudy, not clear like the picture. Edit: Not warm, but definitely produces UV. Must be paired with a separate heating lamp. 4* because it is not an all-in-one solution as advertised.
