We have regular power outages so I decided to give it a try and it's quite impressive. A fully charged internal battery lasted for more than 5 hours of radio operation. I charged it a second time, turned on the LED along with the radio and got about 4 hours of life. After the battery died a second time, I used the grip for about 5 minutes at a time. I think the battery only lasted about an hour with the radio back then, but not bad considering you can run this thing for about 5 minutes every hour and get an additional hour of use! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars and not 5 is because I think the handle you have to hold onto the handle is a bit small and hard to hold with constant rotation. But with a stash of AAA batteries, you'll probably never use the grip.
