Cross straps on the back are a problem

This is a lovely apron and I love the double front pocket and the top pocket that fits a cell phone. The cross straps on the back are my problem. I wear an apron every night when I cook and eat dinner. Adjusting and crossing the straps, as well as threading them through the loops at the waist, takes a lot of "tying up". I was also disappointed with how light the fabric was (expected a heavier canvas). Unfortunately I missed the return deadline.
