Review on 💡 Lithonia Lighting MNS8 1 17 120 RE T8 Mini-Strip Light, 2-Feet, Ideal for Residential Applications by Sal Mattocks

Had a nearly 30 year old T12 cabinet fitting that was falling apart. I wanted to install a Philips InstantFit T8 LED lamp in it - but of course it didn't work out; They are only designed for operation with modern electronic ballasts with instant start. So I got this light to replace my old one - and it's great except the new electronic ballast in it is (surprisingly?) fast and not compatible with this particular LED bulb. Very disappointed. But the new device is very quiet, without noise and works well. Looks like I'll be stuck with neon lights for a while. I didn't want to change the light and it was the only T8 light I could find that I thought would work with the InstantFit LED bulb and I gave up trying to get a full LED replacement light find - all had flaws. Work in just a few months Now I'm ripping out the obsolete ballast (according to Philips) from this new fixture and replacing it with an instant start ballast and I'll be using the Philips InstantFit T8 LED which I wanted when it all started. UPDATE 2: I couldn't find an instant start T8 ballast that would fit this fixture so I just didn't use the ballast and rewired it to replace the non UL double ended T8 LED. I'm happy with it now, but this contraption never worked the way I originally wanted it to.
