Review on πŸ”Œ Seagate Expansion 3TB Portable USB 3.0 External Hard Drive (STEA3000400) in Black by Bima ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good, the price is reasonable.

There are some concerns with the acoustics and temperature. Yet, it is now part of history. As many as eleven portable hard disks can be found around here. Both 500GB and 1TB of archived SEGETAS molds from previous years, as well as TRANSEDA molds from the same time period. Everyone is productive. In this way, a basis for comparison can be established. And the Seagate Expansion Portable Drive series has served me well since at least 2022. The third type is this one. Ever since 2022, when I first got my hands on a Seagate appliance, I've been hooked.

Pros
  • Standard, lightweight, and portable External HDD from 21 October 2022 costing 349 rubles. The Seagate Expandable Portable Drive, Model STEA1000400 (as it is written on the packaging box). Fits comfortably in the breast pocket of a traditional business shirt. With a width of 7cm 9mm, a length of 11cm 6mm, and a height or thickness of 1cm 4mm, it should be easily perceivable by anybody. Included in the package is a sturdy, high-quality USB 3.0 cable. Weight-wise, the drive is more manageable than older models of the Seagate Expansion Portable Drive (2022 2022 2022). It's a benefit that you may use this disk with a laptop, for instance, only by taking it out of its plastic packaging, peeling back the foil wrapping it, and disconnecting the adapter with the soldered USB connector. On some models, the USB port is soldered directly to the drive instead of being mounted on the SATA connector. These discs are not compatible with any computer.
Cons
  • Too much noise while asking for copies, when they begin copying, and when they stop. Please don't have this turn into a service. Such ear-splitting noises are not audible on other currently available VZhDs. Over the course of 1 hour and 35 minutes, 350 GB of data were transmitted from a laptop to the VZD. Maximum performance was selected for the laptop. To my knowledge, no two identical procedures were carried out simultaneously. The USB connector and surrounding area on the Seagate STEA1000400 heated up briskly. I was worried that it would get too hot while I was copying. Anything and anything can be found in the archives. Rapidly cooled down. There were no distracting noises in the recording itself.
