Review on Westin 27-1815 Running Board Mount Kit: Enhance Your Vehicle's Style and Functionality by Ray Cole

I bought some eBoard footboards and they came with cheap copies of these brackets from China. Chinese mounts did not fit. These genuine Westin mounts mount very well and are very strong. There were just a few things I didn't like about this set. The brackets were stamped with part numbers, but the stamped numbers didn't match any of the numbers in the instructions, so how you fit them is up to you. Calling Westin support didn't help either. They also couldn't tell me which mount went where. It doesn't make any sense to me. I'll look under my truck and let you know what mounts I've used to help others. Another thing I didn't like about the kit was the screw kit. The holes in my truck's rocker panels were quite large and the washers were quite small and soft. I ended up using different washers as I didn't feel the washers provided were secure. They had to supply large hardened washers. My electronic boards that I bought mounted directly to these brackets and everything worked fine.
