After *many* USB3 flash drives failed, I got tired and researched their specs. After learning the difference between TLC, MLC and SLC, I chose these Transcend drives which are MLC. Most flash drives are TLC, so they die after hundreds of read/write cycles. I bought 32GB for personal use at a great price. After using it for about a month with no problems I had to buy (4) 64GB. They were used constantly - up to 10 times a day - mainly to move audio files between computers. There were many Win7 PCs, an old XP machine with USB2 ports and many Macs. Whether technology or chipset, they ALWAYS work perfectly. I'm happy to report that I've finally found a reliable flash drive that's also very fast, compact, and even aesthetically pleasing. I will be buying many more soon! Update: I need four more for another site where a lot of sneakers were needed (our DAWs are offline). None of the four drives showed any problems. In addition, all originals are still in use! The price of them continues to rise - further evidence of two things: positive reviews that increase prices, and. You get what you pay for!
