I purchased this product to attempt to find a simple solution to sliding sandbags in the back of the truck for winter driving. I was skeptical, but thought for less than $10, why not try this before doing something more elaborate? So I did and I could not be happier. I placed it on top of the bed liner, put the sandbags on top of the mat, and voila - no sliding at all. I know the intended purpose is for on top of a roof, based on the mat's grip, I'd imagine it would work great there as well. In all honesty though, I don't know - this review is for the person who, like I was, is looking for an inexpensive, simple solution to prevent something from sliding in a truck bed. To that person I can say, it worked for me.
