Cons: Wish it was 10-15 lbs heavier especially in the hammer/anvil area and main body, IMO it's light for a 6" Combination Vise - I do not guarantee it will withstand heavy BFH impacts. I wish the anvil was thicker. I was under the impression that in the free state the jaw has a little more slip than I was inspired by the advert, I imagined the whip would be much tighter, like a locksmith's vise. The twistlock hardware (carriage bolts) was of the lowest quality and could have been 1/4" longer, I immediately threw it away and replaced it with grade 8 hardware that was trimmed to a longer length to accommodate the chrome twistlocks would get an additional 4+ thread engagement plus extra shims weight was the biggest downside to the vise, 1/3 less i could get as good or better in my opinion well if it's tight/jamming there is accuracy the jaws are... Solid in my opinion and the jaw inserts firm and comfortable. The pivoting action is very good. The base is adequate and has four 1/2" mounting holes. The chrome looks high quality and I find it appealing.
