It's heavy and solid. I think it will last forever. It is made from solid brass and has a small hole at the top, making it easy to hang. This is a great can opener to keep in your car, RV, boat or bug bag. You don't have to worry about breakage or damage. It will also look great in any nautical themed kitchen or bar. It's better than the standard bottle opener. It has sharp edges which brass rarely has, so I would keep it out of the reach of young children.
