I left a review of the size I previously purchased and copied/pasted below with the comment that this dog is ball trained and used to it, NEVER to wear a collar. I bought this for my neighbor's dog, 80lb rennet, who I often walk 2-3 miles with. He has the largest collar on, a sort of coiled leather collar that literally "rolls" off his neck if he lags behind, and I've been caught in a couple of dodgy situations where we've stepped on an aggressive dog or person. The large size had to accommodate an 18-22 inch neck - even at the last notch it slipped over the head. My family loved it (and the dog seemed to be fine with it) so I took a chance and ordered it from Medium. Now Black with Tan was sold out so we consulted on styling and finally settled on gray with a blue interior (we didn't want the Cooper to look too girly lol). The medium is perfect from the very first step - if not a bit tight, but once again the dog didn't care and the family loved the look. thought it might be too tight but those who went with it (boy and mum) said it was perfect and when I visited the house today it was in and it looked really good. I definitely recommend this collar. Everyone agreed that the leash clip at the top of the collar was great!
