The highly durable

Very good/reliable travel tripod. I switched from the MeFOTO RoadTrip to the MeFOTO Globetrotter and while it's not much bigger the whole tripod is more solidly built. Here are the pros and cons: PROS - Higher build quality than RoadTrip - Larger ball head for larger cameras - Very smooth and stable ball head - Slightly taller than RoadTrip - Stronger legs - Secure leg locking mechanisms - Compact design - Comes with a carry case. Supplied with attachable spikes. minuses. Heavy for its overall size (but they offer a carbon fiber option). cheapest option (but really worth it) Overall I like this tripod. It's very compact for its size and fits right on the side of my LowePro Whistler 450 AW. I abuse my tripods quite a bit as an outdoor/adventure photographer and it's not the most common thing when you can get a very reliable tripod for the job. I've dropped it on rocks, put it in water, and put it in the sand and it still works. Since the Globetrotter doesn't have much weather protection around the latches, I have to disassemble it every now and then to clean it of sand, but most tripods need it anyway. For the $246 I paid for the Globetrotter, I feel like it's money well spent. Will definitely continue to buy MeFOTO products and recommend to friends.

Pros
  • MeFOTO GlobeTrotter Tripod is a compact travel camera tripod that folds into a monopod. Together with the MeFOTO SideKick tripod mount for iPhone (not included), the GlobeTrotter is the perfect choice. Available in multiple colors.
