A good bag with one major downside = a broken ball

I like the bag in general. It's durable, the colors are great and the zippers are strong. However, this is a bowling bag and at the end of the day, protecting your bowling ball is probably its weakest attribute. They used a thin piece of styrofoam with a hole in the middle and then wrapped it in nylon material. The ball sits in a hole, which does a good job of preventing it from rolling from side to side, but essentially leaves the bowling ball in contact with everything that's ever been under the bag. The only barrier are several layers of fabric. I can't imagine how little money they saved by not using an extra piece of styrofoam under the hole in the first piece of styrofoam. In any case, you run the risk of damaging your bowling ball if you push it too hard. Especially if it's an uneven surface like a parking lot. I have a habit of pocketing mine to open the trunk. As I said, the bag is great except for one detail, but that's an important detail. One you could probably get over by going to a hobby store and buying another piece of styrofoam. It's a pity, we have to do it right ourselves.
