Definitely works as advertised but a few notes for prospective buyers. This is my first VESA mount so I wasn't expecting anything. First this thing is attached to the table either with a drill and bracket or with a crank putting a lot of pressure on the underside of the table to secure the top. I assume it's ok but you need to make sure your table is at least 1 inch thick to avoid clip issues. Also, I use a crank solution to avoid drilling, but the crank itself is thick and needs space behind the table to work properly. If you have a table with a "backboard" below the edge of the top, the handle will not fit properly unless there is at least 7 inches of overhang. The clip just won't fit behind a table if there isn't enough space. In my case, this was an issue that made things significantly more difficult. Another issue I've encountered has to do with the weight capacity of this mount. The item says a minimum weight of 19 pounds or so, which is very important. I hooked up a large 22-pound (with stand) 34-inch widescreen monitor to this thing, and it's very, very close to the minimum weight limit. This model uses a gas spring to adjust the height and unless your monitor is heavy enough you will NOT be able to lower the screen from its maximum height. In my case I thought something was wrong because I kept turning and turning the height adjustment screw and my monitor wouldn't move from its maximum height. I had to unscrew the screw to the very last adjustment, and only then was I able to lower the screen without lifting it myself. I can't stress enough that you need to make sure your monitor is heavy enough or you won't be able to lower it. All of this to say that now that the mount is securely attached to my desk, this thing is very solid and top-notch. . It's a very attractive mounting system when everything is connected and the included audio/microphone/USB jacks work very well. Cable clutter is minimal as the mount includes an area to hide anything and it works great. If you have the right monitor and desk, this is a great VESA mount and I highly recommend it.
