As already mentioned here, check the weight of your monitor before deciding on the model of stand you want to buy. This stand works with the expectation that your monitor or TV will weigh more than the minimum weight required for the mount itself. If you buy a heavy version, with a minimum weight of around 20 pounds, a monitor that weighs "just as much or less" can't stay "lowered". I have a 49" Sony XBR 4k on this arm and it works fine, but the clip mount is weak and eventually bent, although the weight of the display is within acceptable limits. I had to use another tool (which is included) to drill a hole in the table.
