We recently moved into a new house and I had the difficult task of finding a way to mount our 55 inch TV above a stone fireplace and the mantel I had to work with was only about 9 inches deep. The stand that came with the TV was too long to fit in, as were most of the universal stands I found online UNTIL I stumbled upon this gem. I went into this installation process with cautious optimism because it seemed too good to be true that this rather thin mount would support the TV's weight. But here we are almost 2 weeks later and this thing is still holding steady and the TV hasn't arrived, fell to the ground. So far incredibly happy with this purchase! Assembly and installation was a breeze for the most part, with the exception of some difficulty screwing the mount into the mantel. Part of the difficulty lay in the equipment provided. The screws could have been a bit better quality as they came loose with the slightest torque on my screwdriver. I got it working with a not-so-strategic combination of a manual and a power screwdriver and eventually got it to stick. Would recommend to anyone who needs to install a large TV in a small space!
