Review on ๐Ÿ’จ Enhanced Fan Capacitor for Coleman Air Conditioners (1499-5461) by Mark Cannon

My A/C is now working with my pop up

I have used this in my Coleman Mach III A/C for my pop up camper. I've read blogs and other articles that state that if your AC fan doesn't turn on when you turn it on, but you can hear the motor hum and the compressor running, you most likely need a new fan capacitor. I took a chance and ordered this after removing the current capacitor to find the model and specs. When I removed the AC panel I found a schematic on the inside and the colors of the wires connected to the working fan capacitor, so I knew which part it was. Luckily it worked again when I plugged in this new one! It wasn't hard to do and it saved me a lot of time and money. A word of caution: my electrician friend told me that after removing the old capacitor I should be careful not to accidentally touch either pair of terminals as this could cause electrocution as the capacitors store electricity. I simply put on gloves and then connected both terminals with a screwdriver. Since the capacitor in my case was old and needed replacing it didn't have much charge so I was fine but just a word of caution here. Also, I am not and do not claim to be an electrical expert.
