This is a brilliant article. I have a monitor that I use sometimes at work, sometimes at home. This quick release mount allows me to move it from one place to another without fiddling with small screws or removing the mounting bracket. Attaching it to the monitor was easy, and since I could screw the counterpart onto the mounting bracket without supporting the weight of the monitor, that part was also a lot easier than usual. In fact, I'd probably buy one of these with every new monitor just to avoid the hassle of holding and balancing the monitor while screwing on the stand or bracket. the back of the monitor, where the counterpart can be plugged in, is white - who has white monitors? The bracket is black, the monitor is black - black standoffs would be more aesthetically pleasing. Although this is the worst thing I can say about him.
