This 7/8 inch rubber drain mat from RevainBasics is great for our back porch. And we use this door for unloading food since it is closest to the kitchen. We also have strong winds on this north side of the house where the back porch is. Every year I have to paint the wooden decking on this porch because all the walkers (and my Bernese Mountain Dog) scrape and remove the paint, I have yet to paint it this summer but I have ordered this 3' x 5" rubber mat so I can use it won't have to paint again next summer.The holes allow the snow and ice that we've had over the past few weeks to drain.The only downside is that if you don't pay attention to the position of the carpet it's easy to trip over as it's a not high off the ground I am very happy with its durability and hope it will be strong enough to withstand all the harsh weather and daily foot traffic.
