These are not the colors you imagine in a box of crayons, they are similar but differ by a tone or two. I had them make lots of small embellishments and was able to make two and three out of each small ball, so the small ball size worked just fine for me and the thread was a little thicker than normal crochet thread size. The 10 I work with often was great. I really wanted it to have that 'typical' ROYGBIV that you think of when you think of a rainbow when I went to make a rainbow decoration, but ended up being very happy with how the colors from this range did came out. I am attaching two pictures for comparison, the one with fewer stars was made with floss, the one with more stars was made with this yarn except for one color which is a size 5 yarn from the same brand. (The one from this thread I haven't sewn up the ends, blocked the ornament, etc., so the shapelessness is due to it being unfinished.)
