We have a regular mailbox with an old magnetic cover that we had to replace after many years. This new cap fits, but it's not perfect. I found the notch they made on the right side to accommodate the mailbox flag was too low. To remove the flag, the cover needs to be slightly higher on the right than on the left. I plan to one day go back to the box with a sharp knife and fix it. As other reviewers have pointed out, the lid was folded in four and crumpled when I installed it. It's not a deal killer as far as I know, but still annoying.
