I bought this item to replace the floor roller that came with a Miele vacuum cleaner which I have had for many years and which I have always liked more than the central vacuum system in my house. Since the old one eventually broke (as some customers describe what happened to theirs) I was looking for the exact same one and thought I found it. I thought it was silly to complain about it not picking up anything as there would be a problem with the vacuum and not the brush - well I was wrong. This literally does not pick up the lightest and smallest things, like threads. It's a mystery to me how this can be due to the brush, but the vacuum cleaner works perfectly without the brush. The brush is very expensive, I definitely advise against buying it!
