I must say there is no local alarm. You can't hear it at all until you bring it right up to your head. I was hoping for a local alarm that would also notify me by phone. The remote alarm is the main reason I bought it, so for the price I'm happy with it. The phone alarm seems to work fine, but the tiny buzzer inside is useless for notifying you without a phone alarm. At the moment it takes about 5-10 seconds after activation, which is normal for the intended use. I hope the app is as fast as I need it to be. I just wish it had a loud local alarm that could be heard nearby.
