I bought this to trace propane leaks in my wheel tanks. We smelled a strong odor of gas when using it occasionally, but we couldn't pinpoint the source. Bought in hopes it would help me find the source. Follow the instructions and calibrate as directed. I tested it on the stove inside and it detected gas, although it was a bit slow. However, this did not help when looking for a leak on the camper. Most of the time he found nothing. If it spotted anything, it was far from the source, which I ended up finding the old-fashioned way by buying a bottle of Lowe's leak detector. I smelled gas but the detector didn't work. I will probably return.
