I've been buying this product for a few months now and really like it - I've tried other powders but found that most taste too "earthy" or too grainy after mixing . . After buying it a few times, the price skyrocketed, and then I really started reading the "bad reviews" and came across a lot of people saying they had high levels of after testing Glyphosate and other pesticides/herbicides found. . . I asked a question here if there are any updates on this topic but there is no answer; So I emailed the company directly and to my excitement and hopefully many others, here is their response: Orgain takes food safety and quality issues very seriously. We are committed to making the purest protein and nutritional products possible. Unfortunately, glyphosate is one of the most commonly used herbicides in agriculture and one of the most common chemicals in our food system. Reducing glyphosate use is one of the motivations for growing crops organically and producing or buying organic products. Due to our concerns about glyphosate migrating to organic fields, and to ensure our organic pea suppliers meet the highest standards, Orgain implemented a protocol in late 2018 that requires each batch of organic pea protein to be sourced from an internationally accredited source Glyphosate, glufosinate and aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) are tested in a third-party laboratory. Since testing began, no batch of Organic Pea Protein has tested positive for any of the above chemicals. As a precaution, we have also independently tested commercial products of Orgain's best-selling protein powders (including the product mentioned in the article) and all have yielded no verifiable results.
