Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Men's Converse Chuck Taylor Street Sneakers: Shoes Designed for Optimum Style and Comfort by Aries Greene

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After 6 years it's time to throw my old Converse out into the pasture.

My old shoes are worn out after six years of hard use. I found myself gluing the sole back onto my shoes and decided it was time to order a new pair - it goes without saying they had big shoes to fill in (haha). Arrived on time in a shoe box in an Amazon box, in pristine condition as far as I can tell. Bought a pair of "Khaki/Black/White". Khaki definitely has an olive hue to it but I really like it, the burgundy color of the laces really stands out in a way that draws attention without being overwhelming. I didn't realize when I bought it that the line that runs along the rubber sole matches the laces, which I really love. The mid length upper is great as the upper has nice cushioning that most hi tops lack which gives the shoe some volume. With some pants, they are not comfortable in height and are worn under pants but are too low to be worn over them, but this is rare. My old pair were so comfortable that I didn't think to prepare to "break in" the new pair. Learn from my mistakes and corns, put on thick socks and bring plasters. I will edit my review if they break. So I guess I'll (hopefully) see you in another six years.

Pros
  • I love these shoes!
Cons
  • durability issues. Although Converse is a well-respected brand, some buyers have reported issues with the shoe's durability, including the separation of the outsole from the upper after prolonged use. This can deter those looking for long-term investments.
