Review on 📷 Samyang SYIO3514-E AF 35mm f/1.4 Full Frame Lens for Sony FE Mount - Auto Focus, Wide Angle, Black by John Springer

I really like this lens. Been using it for a while now and wanted to wait before writing a review. Now that I've had some time to experience it, I have a feeling the autofocus isn't as good as some YouTube reviewers are saying. At least for videos. hunt a lot! I'm shooting with a Sony a7iii and in video mode it will focus and blur while the focus point is already set. I'm not entirely comfortable shooting a video for a client because I'm never sure when that lens will start to blur. I asked the Sony rep about this and he said it could be because the AF motors in the camera and the AF motors in the lens do not react simultaneously and in combination. BUT, when the autofocus works, the images come out sharp and clear! In photo mode, this lens is fantastic. Long focal length and very clear images.
