Less dust, much less

Decided to add on 11/27/2020 after some use. I asked my adult son who is in charge of dusting the house after returning to the nest if he noticed less dust and said it was much better. When we changed the fall decorations to Christmas decorations, my wife said that the daily amount of dust in the master had not accumulated since the week we installed the filter. Installed on 11/11/2020 and found much less dust in the house. within a week. We've got a pair of black horizontal glass surfaces that pick up dust easily enough to write "Dust Me" every week, and that's gone. Previous filters he replaced were cheap blue polypropylene filters that probably weren't even considered MERV certified, and then MERV8, but I couldn't imagine spending 200+ years on filters when Option 50 was available. I took also the recommended filter cleaning aerosol can for about 15. I don't think there is any oil in it, but K&N auto filters usually pick up oil. The oil is not recommended by most HVAC manufacturers. Also, I unplugged the fan and pulled out the filter after two weeks. I only saw a dog hair and zero of the aforementioned dust marks, so I'm not sure what to make of that. Will continue to be monitored and updated if there are any changes.
