I have a 6 liter KitchenAid. a professional 610 bowl lifter that's at least 15 years old but still works great thanks to KitchenAid. We recently moved and had a small mixer that we gave away and my dough hook and whisk accidentally fell into this bowl and were given away. So I had to order a replacement. After reading all the reviews, I ordered this hook to test. The one that came with KitchenAid was a little better than regular metal, it's heavy, has a good finish, and believe it or not, fits better and cleans the bowl better than my original KitchenAid. It fitted perfectly on the die stem, there was no rattling, no play, I am very happy and glad I made the investment. This one was a little more expensive than some of the others listed, but well worth it if you bake a lot of bread and make heavy dough.
